You may remember Shane Graybill from a 2011 episode of the Lancast where he was joined by his band, The Grim Wilderness. Well, Shane is back, and he’s working on a new solo project called Cult Choir. He sat down with David to talk about his writing process and the styles of music that influence and inspire him. Shane doesn’t take any specific approach to his writing and doesn’t feel confined to a particular method, but just works through it as it comes. He describes his style as 50’s and 60’s doo-wop with a modern twist. The two Cult Choir songs featured on this episode are “Turn Out the Lights” and “Something’s There”.
